On March 16 at approximately 16:00 a resident of Highway 741 in Stearns reported that a 1000’ roll of 12-2 wire with ground had been stolen from the back of his truck that was parked in front of his residence. The wire stolen was valued at approximately $400. The theft occurred between March 14 and March 16. A case was opened and is under investigation.

On March 19 at approximately 09:00 a subject reported that someone had broken into a house trailer he was remodeling on Yancey Lane off of Vanover Ridge and stolen the copper wiring out of it. The case is open and under investigation.

On March 19 at approximately 18:10 a resident of Coffey Lane in Pine Knot  reported that between March 16 and March 19 someone had cut the lock off of a building and stolen several tools. Items taken were:
    Dewalt Table Saw with 10 inch blade
    Craftsman 14 inch Radial Arm Saw
    Delta Planer
    Pas-load Cordless Nail Gun (Orange)
    Skill Router
    Grey tool box with various tools inside
    15 pounds of Copper Wire
Items taken were valued at approximately $5000. A possible suspect in the case has been identified, and the investigation is continuing.

On March 20 at approximately 10:00 a report was made of copper wire stolen from the main shelter of the Sandhill RV Camp. The theft occurred in early January, but was only recently requested to be documented when the estimated value of the wire taken was found to be in excess of $3000.
