On March 27 a resident of Old Bailey Road in Whitley City reported a Burglary not in progress. The burglary could have occurred either the 26th or 27th. Suspects may have entered through a kitchen window. Items taken from the residence included tobacco products. A possible suspect has been identified and the case is under investigation.

On March 27 a resident of Beulah Heights Road reported a Burglary not in progress. The burglary may have occurred between 22:00 March 26 to 09:00 March 27. Perpetrators gained entry by forcing open the front door of the residence. A gun cabinet was pried open, and all of the guns and knives were taken. Items stolen include:
(1)Winchester 1886 Lever Action rifle, 45/70 caliber, with checkered pistol grip and forearm.
(1) Winchester Model 42 .410 pump shotgun. The receiver has the word “Trap” engraved on it.
(1) Winchester Model 21, 2 gauge double barrel. The Ace of Spades is engraved in the stock.
(1)  L.C. Smith .410 double barrel. Various engravings on the gun.
(1) Smith and Wesson 500 caliber revolver, 8 3/8 inch stainless steel, in the box. Gun has slots in the barrel near the end.
(1) Smith and Wesson DX 44 Magnum revolver with rose wood grips. Still in the box.
(1) Leather roll up pouch containing 65 Case XX knives.
A case was opened and is under investigation.
