Additional information was added on a case reported last week after an inventory of property was completed. In that report a resident of Poley Ellis Road in Pine Knot reported a burglary not in progress in which a radiator and two aluminum wheels for a 93 Dodge Dakota were taken. Other items taken were:

(4) DVD Movies

(1) DVD Cleaner

(2) 45 foot pieces of aluminum siding

(2) Cases of Pepsi

(1) Flag Pole

300 feet of guttering

Various pots and pans

The case remains open and is under investigation.

 

On April 3 at approximately 12:00 a resident of Hwy 1651 North in Whitley City reported that a trash bin had been damaged by two dogs whose ownership was not known. The case is being investigated by the Sheriff’s Department along with the County Animal Control Officer.

 

On April 4 at approximately 14:10 a resident of New Town Apartments on South Main Street in Whitley City reported a breaking and entering not in progress. Perpetrators entered through a window. Items taken include:

(2) Grandfather clocks

Home Interior pictures

Clothes

Cleaning Supplies

(2) Small black entertainment centers

Silver Colby CD Player

Other miscellaneous small items

Additionally, six books of checks were taken. A case is open and is under investigation.

 

On April 10 at approximately 11:58 a resident of Little Rock Creek Road in Pine Knot reported that while he was hunting mushrooms in the woods his ATV was stolen. Victim reported he heard ATV’s in the woods near him at that time which headed in the direction of the Polly Springs area. The stolen ATV is a 2007 Suzuki, green in color, model LTA400F. The VIN number on the vehicle is 5SAAK46K877101841, and the engine serial number is K421160211. The vehicle was entered as stolen into NCIC. A case was opened and is under investigation.
