On April 12 a resident of Woods Road in Stearns reported a B&E not in progress. Perpetrator(s) broke out and entered through a back window of the residence. Nothing appeared to have been taken, indicating that perpetrator(s) may have been scared off. A case has been opened and is under investigation.

On April 15 at approximately 15:44 a resident of Raider Way in Stearns reported the theft of a utility trailer and two ATV’s. The description of items taken is
(1)    2001 Honda Four Trax Rancher 350, red in color, VIN number 478TE24061A100838
(1)    2001 Yamaha Big Bear 400, red in color, VIN number 5Y4AHO8Y31A01014128
(1)    Utility Trailer, 16’ by 7’, black in color, VIN number 46CFB16273M001125
Vehicles were entered into NCIC as stolen. The case is open and under investigation.

On April 15 a resident of Lum Strunk Road in Strunk reported that a person had forged multiple checks on her account. The case is open and is under investigation.

On April 16 the owner of the old Welfare building on Kizzie Chitwood Road in Whitley City reported a B&E not in progress. Owner stated he hadn’t checked the building since July of 2007. Subjects entered through a basement door. Copper wiring was stripped from the walls. Copper was also taken from 7 Heat Pumps and 3 Furnaces, which destroyed the units in the process. Incident occurred sometime between July 15 2007 and April 11 2008. A case was opened and is under investigation.
