On September 22 a report was received of the theft of Highway Department steel drainage grates along US 27 from the KY/TN state line going north. The grates were taken to a local salvage yard and sold. Two subjects were identified. The cases were presented to the grand jury in December for investigation.


On December 20 a report was received of the theft of several items from a front porch and vehicle at a residence on Airport Road. The theft is believed to have occurred between 17:00 on December 17 and 10:00 on December 18. Taken were 5 pairs of boots, leaf blower, extension cord, and several small toys. The vehicle was unlocked.


On December 20 a report was received of the theft of several items from a vehicle on Airport Road. The theft is believed to have occurred between 17:00 on December 17 and 10:00 on December 18. Items taken were a Makita drill, 150 piece Stanley tool set, approximately 60 CD's, and an Eastwing hammer. Also taken were the vehicles insurance card and a book of blank checks. The vehicle was unlocked.


On December 24 a report was received of the theft of a Craftsman generator, Miller generator/welder, copper wiring, and copper tubing from a burned out residence on Beulah Heights Road. The theft is believed to have occurred between 13:00 on December 21 and 10:00 on December 22.


On December 26 a report was received of theft from and vandalism to a vacant mobile home on Grundy Road. The siding and most of the wiring had been removed. A 5 ton and 3 ton heating and air unit were taken. The theft is believed to have occurred sometime in the past 7 months.
