On May 3 at approximately 07:15 a report was received that a van parked at the Kroger parking lot had been broken into. Perpetrator broke out a window with a rock and stole a purse. The purse was later recovered with the money missing. A suspect has been identified. A case was opened and is ongoing.

On May 3 at approximately 11:00 a resident of KY 700 West reported that when he returned home from being away at work for awhile, a vehicle was missing from his driveway. The vehicle is a 1999 Dodge Dakota Pickup, yellow in color. Vehicle had a Kentucky tag 363-AGC. VIN number on the vehicle was 1B7GL22X1XS244590. Vehicle was entered into NCIC as stolen. A case was opened and is under investigation.

On May 3 at approximately 17:00 a security guard for Southfork Coal Company reported encountering two subjects coming out of one of the buildings on the premises. One subject had bolt cutters in his hand. The subjects ran when confronted by the guard. Additional areas were found where copper wire had been cut and coiled for later retrieval. Two suspects have been identified. A case is open and under investigation.

On May 3 at approximately 20:55 a subject reported that while they were wading at Jenny Shoals off of Clark Hollow Road, a subject entered their vehicle and took money from a purse. A suspect has been identified. A case was opened and is under investigation.
