On March 13 additional information was reported on a theft that occurred in 2002. The theft involved two firearms taken from a vehicle parked at Big John's in Pine Knot. The owner of the firearms found the serial numbers for the firearms. The firearms are:

  • Smith and Wesson Model 60 handgun, .357 caliber, 2” barrel. Serial VKL8701

  • Remington Model 870 pump shotgun, 12 gauge. Serial 0692566A

The firearms were entered into the NCIC system.


On March 14 a report was received of the theft of items from a field off Marsh Creek Road. Taken was a disassembled metal storage building and a tractor bucket.


On March 18 a report was received of the theft of a purse from the front porch of a residence on Elmer Bryant Road.


On March 19 a report was received of the burglary to a residence on KY 1651 South. There was no forced entry to the residence. The following items were taken:

  • Apple Ipod

  • M-44 rifle, 7.6mm, no serial

  • Kids Bull Pit toy game

  • Jewelry box

  • Uniden Bearcat scanner, serial 26008402

  • Dell computer


On March 16 a report was received of the theft of a firearm from a vehicle on Thompson Tapley Road. The firearm is a Smith and Wesson Air Weight Body Guard, .38 caliber, 1 7/8” barrel. Model 638, serial CMY4184. The firearm was entered into the NCIC system.


On March 21 a report was received of the burglary to a residence on Wagon Ridge Road. The front door to the residence had been forced open. The items taken were recovered and returned to the owner.
