Can I call the Sheriff's Office to see if I have a warrant on me?

No. Information on warrants is not given out over the telephone. If a person thinks they may have a warrant on them, they will have to come in person to the Sheriff's Office to check. They cannot have a third party do the check for them. It is in the best interest of persons who think they have an active warrant to come to the Sheriff's Office and turn themselves in so they can be prepared to wait at the detention center for pre-trial to set their bond and be released. Otherwise, they may be arrested at a time during which the process would cause a greater inconvenience to them.
