On July 27 a report was received of contraband being smuggled into the McCreary County Detention Center. A Deputy Jailer reported finding a pill hidden in a slit cut into a pair of flip-flops brought in for a female inmate.


On August 8 a report was received of a plow stolen from the yard of a residence on Pigskin Road. The plow was located at a metal recycler.


On August 11 a report was received of a burglary to a storage building on KY 1651 South. A leaf blower and several power and hand tools were stolen. No serial numbers were available.


On August 15 a report was received of the theft of copper wiring and siding from a mobile home on Evergreen Drive.


On August 16 a report was received of the theft of a heating and air unit from a residence on KY 92 East. The unit was a Goodman 3 ton heat pump, serial number 0203507272.


On August 20 a report was received of the theft of a CD player and several college text books from a vehicle parked on Geary Avenue.


On August 24 a report was received of a burglary to a rental storage building on East Appletree Road. Two units had been broken in to.
