June 24 a report was received of a burglary to a garage and residence on Lum Strunk Road. Taken was hand tools and jewelry.


July 4 a report was received of the theft of a firearm from a vehicle parked at a store in Whitley City. The firearm is a Highpoint 9mm handgun with serial number X7110165. The firearm was entered into the NCIC system.


July 8 a report was received of a burglary to a residence on White Pine Spur Road. Items taken were two Zenith 13” televisions, a 25” Zenith television, ten DVD's, a string trimmer, and a push mower. No model or serial numbers were available.


July 13 a report was received of the theft of a firearm from a vehicle at a residence on North Devil's Creek Road. The firearm is a Ruger model P95DC, serial 316-19062. The firearm was entered into the NCIC system.


July 14 a report was received of a burglary to an automotive repair business in Whitley City. Entry was made by breaking out a window. Items taken from several vehicles were batteries and stereo systems. A computer was taken from the business office.


July 16 a report was received of a burned vehicle on Straight Creek Road. The vehicle had been stolen from Sevierville, TN.
